Although life is very quiet in Normandy at the moment, progress on making the Normandy Community Shop & Cafe happen is continuing. The Management Committee hold regular meetings, at the moment via Zoom (online), we talk about the progress we are making with the formal set up of the business and then about the various work areas, the ideas, plans and progress. Yes, sometimes we do have some heated and passionate conversations, but our objective is the same: to bring a community shop and cafe to Normandy that will be run by the Normandy community and, as much as possible, stocked with goods made and sourced locally.
We plan to regularly update our followers, villagers and everyone interested in the shop by weekly posts on Facebook; these will be shared to our Instagram page and look out for us on NextDoor too. Our posts will be on Facebook and Instagram every Friday, so please come back next week (17 April) for our next update.
